The app is crashing whenever I try to assign share a map to a second screen.

1. Open InfinitasDM on MacOS.
2. Load an existing map
3. Switch to screen and click the button for sharing the screen
4. Either InfinitasDM freezes or crashes the whole system (automatic reboot)

MacBook 12" (2016); secondary screen is connected via an USB-C Hub (Apple HDMI Hub). Current MacOS release

I'm sorry to hear IDM is crashing while trying to use the Player's Screen screen share feature. I'll need to ask a few questions so we can get to the bottom of what's causing this.

1. What size are the map image(s) you are using in pixel dimensions?

(for mac - Click Finder on your Dock.
-Find the image you want to check.
-Control+click (ctrl+click) your image. A menu appears.
-Click Get Info. A window appears.
-Expand the General: section to see your image's file size.
-Expand the More Info: section to see your image's dimensions.)

2. Does it crash when you screen share on every map in your campaign, or just specific maps?

3. Does it crash if the map is created within InfinitasDM? (when assigning a map image, choose "create new map" instead of "add from file")

Sorry for the late response. Here are the answers:

1. I tried different images, on with the dimensions 1536*2048. The other images had similar dimensions.

2. The crashes occur independently of the chosen campaign or map.

3. Here we are: the crashes do not occur when I create a map from the scratch.

Is there a pixel dimension size limit for imported maps?

There isn't a pixel limit on map sizes within the app, but the hardware you run the app on may have inherent limitations due to available RAM.

If the maps made in InfinitasDM are not causing the same issue, then it typically means there is an issue with available RAM.

What type of mac device are you running InfinitasDM on, and how much RAM does it have? 1536*2048 isn't the *most* gigantic map size, but it may cause issues for a device with less than 4gb of ram (MacOS/desktop) or 2gb of ram (iOS/mobile).

Try reducing the image size by half to start with (768x1024), or try another image of similar or smaller size, and see if that works.

If it does, stair step your way up in size until you find the largest image size your device can handle.
